Candidates will study for 5-10 hours per week with support from an online tutor and web-based lectures. An internet enabled PC with broadband and smartphone is necessary for this course and exam.
The exam will be held online, at home, when the candidate is ready, normally 6-12 weeks from their start of learning. NB the exam can be earlier if the candidate can dedicate more study time per week.
Tutorials are held every Tuesday and Thursday (7pm to 9pm) via Zoom and cover one module of the twelve in the syllabus. These tutorials are available for download.
Who is it for?
APM PMQ is aimed at those wishing to achieve a broad level of project management knowledge enough to participate in projects at all levels.
Applicants typically have some pre-existing project management knowledge, although this is not essential.
The APM syllabus assesses twelve areas of project management including budgeting and cost management, conflict management, communication, earned value management, leadership, negotiation, procurement, sponsorship and teamwork. There are 12 modules

Assessment is via a three-hour exam. Delegates must answer 10 of the 16 questions. This is held online at the candidates’ home.
